Privacy Policy

Effective 10 July 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Beijing Langwei Jingyan Technology Co., Ltd., a company incorporated in the People’s Republic of China, trading under the brand PROMPTERGO. We design and manufacture professional teleprompter systems and the prompting software that accompanies them.

Registered address: Room 1207, Tower A, Qiancun Business Building, Anzhen Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing, People’s Republic of China.

For any question about this policy, or to exercise the rights described in section 9, contact us at lemond@promptergo.com.

2. What this website is

This is an informational website about our products. It has no user accounts, no registration, no shopping cart, no online ordering and no payment processing. Nothing is sold through this website.

3. What we do not collect

We want to be specific, because many privacy policies in our industry describe data collection that does not actually take place. On this website:

  • We do not set cookies of any kind, and we do not use browser local storage to identify you.
  • We do not use analytics services such as Google Analytics, and we do not use advertising pixels, trackers or profiling tools.
  • We do not embed third-party scripts, fonts or social media widgets. Fonts and page code are served from our own server.
  • We do not operate accounts, so we hold no usernames, passwords or profiles.
  • We do not collect payment card or bank details, because no payment is taken on this site.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Consequently there is no cookie consent banner on this site. There is nothing to consent to.

4. What we do collect

Server logs. Like most web servers, ours automatically records technical information about each request: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. We use these logs only to operate the site, diagnose faults and protect against abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you.

Email. If you write to one of the email addresses published on this site, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, your email address, your company, and the content of your message. We use it to answer you.

WhatsApp. If you use the WhatsApp button, your browser leaves this website and opens WhatsApp, a service operated by Meta. Once you are in that chat, Meta’s own privacy policy governs how the platform handles your data; we do not control it. What reaches us is the conversation itself, including the phone number you contact us from and the messages you send. We use it to answer you.

5. Why we may lawfully process this data

Where European or United Kingdom data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, maintaining a business relationship with professional customers and partners, and keeping this website secure and operational. Where you contact us to ask about a purchase, processing is also necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with:

  • our hosting and IT service providers, to the extent necessary to run the website and our email;
  • WhatsApp / Meta, but only if you yourself choose to contact us through WhatsApp;
  • public authorities, where we are required to do so by applicable law and through proper legal process.

We do not disclose enquiry data to distributors, resellers or any other third party without telling you first.

7. Where your data is stored

We are a Chinese company. This website is hosted in mainland China, and any enquiry you send us is received and stored in mainland China. If you are writing to us from outside China, your data is therefore processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from those of your own jurisdiction. We state this plainly so that you can decide what you send us.

If in future we transfer enquiry data to service providers or colleagues outside mainland China, we will comply with the cross-border transfer requirements of the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, including giving you notice and obtaining your separate consent where that law requires it.

8. How long we keep it

Server logs are retained for no longer than 180 days, unless a longer period is needed to investigate a specific security incident. Business correspondence is kept for as long as the commercial relationship or enquiry remains live, and thereafter for as long as we may need it to answer legal, warranty or accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete it.

9. Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. Where our processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

Write to lemond@promptergo.com. We will respond within one month. We may ask you for information that lets us confirm who you are, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and you believe we have handled your data improperly, you also have the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.

10. Children

This website addresses professional buyers of broadcast equipment. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We will add features to this website over time, including a contact form and a dealer enquiry form. Before any such feature goes live, we will update this policy to describe what it collects, why, how long we keep it, and who receives it. The effective date at the top of this page always tells you which version you are reading. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so on this page rather than change it quietly.
